DD made this wreath from her herbs - it smells wonderful! |
We are getting ready to start school here. I will have students in Years 10, 8, 7, and 4. There's just nothing like the beginning of a fresh year, is there? Also, I will be speaking in Rochester, MN on the 17th. So this week will be a quick post in the form of some humor. Hopefully, it will make you smile. And do share if you have any others to add!
1.
Why did Mason's gardener quit?
Because of her insistence that he always aerate after a single weeding.
2.
Why do Mason graduates make the best nuns?
Because they've had excellent habit training from birth.
3.
Why did Charlotte Mason never comb her hair after bathing?
Because she preferred the dry brush method.
4.
When building the House of Education, what Nordic tool did Charlotte Mason use?
A Swedish drill.
5.
When did Charlotte get attacked by zombies?
On the Night of the Living Books.
From joy to joy,
Nancy

Oh, I am so glad you posted those....I have been trying to remember them to share with my boys! The LER was just wonderful....so inspiring and refreshing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I showed the boys the pins from the LER and told them Charlotte's students wore a pin at their school....my 10 year old said, "Well, WE should wear them, then!" and promptly put his on!! Love it! :)
Dear Kristina,
DeleteYou are welcome, friend. Have fun with your boys and the pins. Let me know if the motto helps you or them in any way this year.
From joy to joy,
Nancy
